Hello from St. Augustine, FL! After our reception menu tasting, we made a quick stop by the beach for some much needed Vitamin D (as evidenced by my pale complexion). I truly missed the unending sunshine, salty air and warm sand.. and I can't wait to come back and celebrate our wedding here in just a few short months! Matt and I have been working hard on ironing out the details of the wedding weekend events and honeymoon (which is booked!!) and I just can't stop smiling.

About to jump on a plane back home to NYC, hopefully we won't catch too much snow on the way back up. Here's to a great week!

I hope you all had a beautiful and restful weekend! I celebrated my birthday yesterday (the number will remain unsaid) in proper NYC form--strolling the city streets, shopping, sight-seeing and eating all around Manhattan with my Matt. After church and a home-made brunch, we set off to check out ACE Hotel and Stumptown Coffee. Who doesn't like jammin out to rap music while sipping on their cappuccino? We walked down 5th Ave toward the Flat Iron Building for some shopping. Picked up some work week chic pieces from Ann Taylor and a pair of distressed overalls from Express! Can't wait to style these new finds. For dinner, we headed to ABC Kitchen, an all organic Mediterranean/American style restaurant. I had the fried chicken and salted caramel sundae (amazing). We finished off the night with our first trip to the Top of the Rock Observatory for some incredible views of the city and came home just in time for Game of Thrones. All in all, a perfect day. And to continue the birthday celebrations, a few of my best girlfriends from college are coming to visit this week and I am so excited!! I really cannot contain myself. 

Thank you all for the birthday love yesterday! I cannot wait what this upcoming year has in store!

One of my bestest friends from college came to visit me this past weekend from Florida. Much of our catch up time includes sight-seeing around Brooklyn or Manhattan, with lots of delicious food and shopping in between. This visit included a trip to Washington Square Park while on our way to the Capwell + Co pop up shop and Filipino brunch at Maharlika. If you've never been, you have to try! My favorite dish is their 'Chicken and Ube Waffles' (see below)--the perfect combination of salty and sweet. I promise, they'll change your life.

The holidays are quickly approaching with Thanksgiving right around the corner. Here's a spin on a classic LBD to brighten up your fall! This outfit can easily be taken from office to happy hour cocktails or to the holiday party. I love this LBD because of the soft quilted material and the fact that it compliments any body type. It's form fitting on top and cinches the waist for a flattering silhouette (I added by own skinny belt for emphasis). The blazer keeps it work appropriate, but the chartreuse color brings life to your entire outfit. Add statement baubles, a clutch and you're ready for a night out! More holiday dress ideas to come!
