If you follow me on Instagram, you know I spent Labor Day Weekend in Philadelphia with great friends and great music at the Made in America Festival! It was so much fun, I'm still recovering. Haha, I think I'm getting old.

These photos were shot last week when Matt and I had dinner at an awesome soup dumping spot in Chinatown. Does the backdrop look familiar? Yes, fun fact! Justin Timberlake's music video 'Take Back the Night' was filmed here on Doyers Street, near (perhaps even inside) a bar you must try: Apotheke. As a pharmacist, I really do get excited about pharmacy/apothecary themed bars. Come on. What's not to love about bartenders in white coats serving up adult beverages that can remedy any ailment?

My vacation week is coming to an end and my time in Florida has flown by! I spent a few days in Orlando for one of my bestest friend's birthday (love you Lieza!) and celebrated the only way we knew how: mani/pedis, outlet shopping, an amazing 14-course dinner by Kappo at East End Market with friends and family (photos to come). Here's an outfit I wore running errands around sunny South Florida.

It's starting to feel like the summertime here in NYC, which calls for breaking out the sundresses, sandals and oversized sunnies. All of which, I've been stocking up on since the opening of the Fulton Street Nordstrom Rack in downtown Brooklyn. And it's located right next to the new TJ Maxx.. so dangerous! This fun tribal print dress was scored at the Rack for only $24.97. I dressed it up here with these new caged heels, but can definitely see myself wearing this dress with some all white Chuck Taylors for a more laid-back look. This unique gold necklace was a gift from my mom (my fashion mentor and partner in crime), who said she bought it at a hair salon in Miami, made by a designer based in New York. Update: The designer of the necklace is Karine Sultan, who has other beautiful necklace designs here!

springtime in brooklyn

When I saw this skirt on Zara's website, I instantly fell in love. How perfect is this linen midi skirt for the spring/summer season? The eyelet details and high waist fit are what make it so versatile. I decided to style this piece with another version of a white-on-white look (see previous outfit post here), but added pops of color to this white palette with a few bold accessories. 

The colorful statement necklace and bracelet immediately caught my eye on the JewelMint website and are just so gorgeous in these pastel colors. I drew from the cobalt blue in the necklace and matched my new sunnies, picked up at the new Nordstrom Rack on Fulton Street, Brooklyn! Lastly, my shopping adventures last weekend at the #RMsamplesale led me to this sunny pastel pouch, perfectly adorned with my initial! It was meant to be. I also picked up a MAB bag to use for work everyday and an amazing red leather moto jacket (with some zippers). Definitely coming up on the blog soon. If you missed the NYC/LA/San Fran sample sales, not to worry.. the last day to shop online is today!
