office hours

Blazer: Tory Burch // Top: LOFT // Skirt: LOFT (old, similar here and here) // Bag: Zara // Shoes: J.Crew Outlet // Watch: Michele

Jacket: my sister's, from London // Top: Urban Outfitters (old) // Skirt: LOFT (love this plaid one) // Bag: Gucci (vintage, via Eva Gentry Consignment) // Sunglasses: Karen Walker 'Super Duper' // Shoes: Express // Earrings: Bauble Bar

A little throwback Thursday for you! These photos were taken back in Brooklyn, but they include some office to cocktail hour staples that I still find myself always reaching for even now that I live in Florida. Since I work as a clinical pharmacist in a hospital setting, I dress in outfits that are easy to switch out my white coat for a smart black blazer in case I have meetings. I am such a dress/skirt girl and pencils skirts are my absolute fav - I look for ones that are slightly high-waisted and hit my knee or just above in length. This patterned one has my name written all over it since it's also leopard print (my forever neutral)! Once that clock hits 5 o'clock, I switch out my black pumps for some ankle strap heels and my structured bag for a clutch.. throw on a leather moto jacket and I'm out the door!

What are some of your favorite 9 to 5 staples?

we made it in america

Day 1:
Top: H&M // Skirt: Forever 21 // Boots: Zara // Backpack: Forever 21

Day 2:
Dress: Zara (similar here) // Sunglasses: Ray Ban // Scarf: Zara

This was my first time ever going to a music festival and even Philly for that matter. So much to see and do.. and I can't think of a better crew to have gone with! Festival wear is a tricky thing to master, but after using Pinterest (and mostly photos of Beyonce) for ideas, I think I discovered a few secrets - at least for me!
  • Comfortable footwear is super important. I found these boots at Zara and they were truly a lifesaver. They covered my feet completely from all the dust and whoknowswhat on the ground all while being stylish and comfy!
  • Backpacks allow for hands-free, back-saving and party hardy freedom. Pack it with a scarf/bandana to shield your nose from irritants such as smoke and dust not to mention extra tissue for the bathrooms, sunblock and hand sanitizer.
  • Stay hydrated. Most festivals allow you to bring an empty water bottle container to fill up at their water stations, really cool.
My favorite performances were by The Weeknd, J.Cole and DJ Mustard. They were so good, I started a Snapchat account (@ohsnap_itsbec) just to share their performances with my friends who couldn't go! I definitely want to go again next year and hope to go to Coachella one day to compare east coast vs. west coast. What's your favorite music festival to go to?

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I spent Labor Day Weekend in Philadelphia with great friends and great music at the Made in America Festival! It was so much fun, I'm still recovering. Haha, I think I'm getting old.

Here's a quick outfit post when Matt and I were exploring downtown. Our fist day, we had lunch at El Vez (get the guac) and dessert at Insomnia Cookies. More photos of the festival with outfits soon!

Hey beautiful people! It's been a minute since I've posted and I apologize. Life has been bringing a lot of big decisions lately and many changes, which I promise to update you once everything settles!

In the meantime, I've had the pleasure of working on this collaboration with the very talented Mina Miyaki, showing off her gorgeous handmade bags all made right here in NYC. This pink crossover from her first collection is called 'Nolita' and she's just as fun as that area of NYC. This very bag was even featured in British Vogue recently! I love it for its versatility, bold prints and pop of color. I've been using it mostly as a clutch/makeup bag without the chain, but as a crossover, it's the perfect length.

If you're in New York City area on September 26th, stop by this pop up shop in Brooklyn to shop these cute bags and pouches in person. Also, be sure to check out the Mina Miyaki Etsy store, Instagram and newsletter for updates!

xo,
Becca
