color blocking

Coat: DVF (vintage, but similar here and here) // Sweater: H&M // Pants: Banana Republic (cropped version here) // Bag: Fendi // Shoes: Forever 21 // Sunglasses: Karen Walker 'Super Duper' // Earrings: David Yurman // Lip Gloss: Marc Jacobs 'Lust for Life'

Happy (Menswear) Monday! Hope your weekend was relaxing. During Mother Nature's wrath called the Polar Vortex, I was able to whip out this vintage DVF coat I found at the local Housing Works a few years ago. I love how classic the cut and color is, making it a timeless winter piece. I also imagine this coat over an LBD and heels for a night out! Over the weekend, DVF celebrated the opening of her exhibit in LA, aptly named "Journey of a Dress" highlighting her iconic wrap dress. Watching the Instagram feeds of all the attendees' outfits was making me crave for summertime already!

fall brights

Blazer: BCBG (similar here, also love this one) // Dress: Express (similar here) // Shoes: Nine West // Sunglasses: Karen Walker 'Super Duper' // Clutch: DVF via Eva Gentry Consignment // Necklace: Capwell + Co // Lips: Sephora 'Sexy Game' // Nails: OPI 'Over the Taupe'

The holidays are quickly approaching with Thanksgiving right around the corner. Here's a spin on a classic LBD to brighten up your fall! This outfit can easily be taken from office to happy hour cocktails or to the holiday party. I love this LBD because of the soft quilted material and the fact that it compliments any body type. It's form fitting on top and cinches the waist for a flattering silhouette (I added by own skinny belt for emphasis). The blazer keeps it work appropriate, but the chartreuse color brings life to your entire outfit. Add statement baubles, a clutch and you're ready for a night out! More holiday dress ideas to come!
